Patrick, a local lad, sadly lost his battle last year to cancer. He and his family have lived in the village for many years, and we all saw Patrick grow up to become a popular young man. We want to show our support to Patrick's family and let them know we are thinking of them.

Patrick never gave up, never complained, was always positive and never lost his sense of humour. A real inspiration! This is part of Patrick's Legacy that he left us all.

With this in mind we decided to challenge ourselves to walk the full length of Hadrian's Wall, starting on Friday 25th July at Bowness-on-Solway and ending on Sunday 27th July at Wallsend-on-Tyne, a total of 84 miles. It will be a difficult challenge but his Legacy will inspire us all not to give up.

All money will go to CLIC Sargent who were there for Patrick and his family from the beginning of diagnosis, and are still supporting his family today.
