Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We are taking part in the 24 Peaks Challenge in September, in aid of the NDCS

The Challenge

Is to hike up (and down) 24 peaks in the Lake District in 24 hours. Total ascent is 13133 feet, or 45% of the height of Everest. Included are Scafell Pike - England's highest - and Helvellyn - but not via Striding Edge, thank goodness! Here's hoping for similar weather to 2008 - see above left.

PS Yes, I know Scafell Pike would only be 175th on the list if it was in Scotland. Still, it's ours and we're proud of it

NDCS

The National Deaf Children's Society was formed in 1944. Their mission is to remove the barriers to the achievement of deaf children throughout the world.

Thank you for your generosity
