Regarded as one of the UK's most challenging events the 3 Peaks 24 hour mountain challenge provides the individual and team with one of the ultimate tests of physical and mental stamina. The challenge involves climbing the highest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales. These are Scafell Pike (3209 feet), Ben Nevis (4408 feet) and Snowdon (3560 feet) respectively. Different people will take different periods of time to do the 3 peaks. Those who are brave, noble, or just plain stupid, try to do all 3 within the space of 24 hours.......why? Sometimes it just makes "Sense"!

Sense is the leading national charity that supports and campaigns for children and adults who are deafblind. They provide expert advice and information as well as specialist services to deafblind people, their families, carers and the professionals who work with them. They also support people who have sensory impairments with additional disabilities. The Sense vision is of a world in which all deafblind children and adults can be full and active members of society.
