SKYDIVE UPDATE:
My Mum, Sarah, and I had originally planned to raise money for
Kent Cancer Trust by doing skydives on Sunday 2nd May. However, after
twice postponing our skydives, due to adverse weather conditions,
Tuesday 18th May was third time lucky for us - we got to hurl ourselves
out of an aeroplane 12,000 feet above the ground - Amazing! As I hurtled towards the ground at an alarming rate (approx
150mph or 20 storeys per second) during the freefall, all my trust was
placed in my instructor, Pete, who's made over 6,000 jumps. The
freefall is quite terrifying and literally takes your breath away, but once your parachute opens, you slow down enough to enjoy the views and the feeling of falling through the sky. I would love to do it again!
We would both like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has
supported us morally and financially - we've currently raised just over
£1,000.00 between us. We would love to make that £1,500.00, so please
be as generous as you can. Many, many thanks.
