Hi everyone,

 

Thanks for visiting my JustGiving page- the reason I have asked you to donate is because I am running the "Run to the Beat" half marathon on Sunday 27th September in London. It starts at the Millennium dome and routes right through Greenwich and the Isle of Dogs, every mile there is a live band playing. I would like to make sure all my training and taking part in the race translates into raising lots (hopefully!) of money for the charity Beat.

For those of you who haven't heard of this charity, Beat is the leading UK charity for people with eating disorders and their families and is the working name of the Eating Disorders Association. Eating disorders are a serious mental illness affecting 1.1 million people in the UK and beat provide helplines for adults and young people, online support and a UK-wide network of self-help groups to help people beat their eating disorder.

Its a really worthy cause and not enough people get the right kind of treatment and support for this illness. As time goes on more people are being effected, its quite astonishing really, its a subject very close to my heart so please donate generously and i'll reward you with some sweaty photos of me after the race!
