£1030 raised for Christian Aid!

12th April, 25 miles, 3 mountains (Pen-Y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough), miles of horrendous bogs (The scary bits) and stunning scenery in glorious sunshine (The best bits!), I completed the North Yorks Three Peaks, my 50th Birthday challenge, in 11 hours, 56 minutes (according to the official Pen-y-Ghent cafe clock!) - 4 minutes inside the 12 hour target! 

Thankyou so much to you generous people for sponsoring me (£260 online and £770 on paper) to raise a fabulous £1030 for Christian Aid - with all the Gift Aid added that is a phenomenal amount - thankyou.

I walked with my good friend Pam - so thanks Pam for having the brilliant idea in the first place, for encouragement especially when I was being feeble coming down Whernside, for making us practically run the last 2 miles so we made it within the 12 hours - and for finding life saving Ibruprofen at the end! - It was a ball! - and here's to our 60th birthday challenge!
