Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I DID IT!! Yes it was tough, but the weather was great and it was all worthwhile.. thank you so much for your support and kind donations.. if you forgot to sponsor me it is not too late and you can still do so!!

THANKS!

As you know this charity is very close to my heart, having being diagnosed myself with a Myeloproliferative disorder (MPD), Primary Polycythemia, back in mid 2009.

I also like a challenge, and having previously completed a 150ft abseil for the RNIB (some time ago), I have decided it is time again to push myself outside of my comfort zone in the name of charidee.

So I will be abseiling down 34 storeys (nearly 500ft) of St Guys Tower (St Guys & St Thomas' hospital) on 27th June 2010.

I do hope you will help me reach my target of £600 which is the minimum I need to raise, and donate as much as you can, and remember to gift aid it if you are a UK taxpayer.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity.  So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Charity's Mission: To educate and support people with MPDs while they fund research for a cure.

About MPDs: MPDs are rare blood cancers that affect people of all ages—from children to people in the prime of life. These disorders cause debilitating fatigue, blood clots, heart attacks, strokes and increase the risk of leukaemia.

About the charity

MPN Voice leads the way in supporting people with rare blood cancers called Myeloproliferative Neoplasms (MPNs), with accurate information and emotional support. We're funding research toward better treatments and one day a cure. Most importantly we offer hope to those affected by MPNs.
