Thank you very much for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page!  I'm raising money for the National Brain Appeal.

12.5M People currently suffer from a Neurological Disorder.  The 1 in 6 Statistic has been particulary cruel in my Family life, taking 2 out of my 4 Grandparents at an unfair age and affecting a fantastic uncle currently living with Dementia.

I feel very lucky to have worked alongside a charity who support my place of work, the National Hospital for Neurosciences and Neurosurgery.  I've seen literally first hand the impact that charitible donations have made to the development of the hospital. 

The plan for the coming decade includes a major redevelopment to provide more capacity to the hospital, pioneering research and training tomorrows leading scientists while providing expert diagnosis using the latest technology.  Funding from the National Brain Appeal will be crucial to this and it would be great to provide some help towards that goal.

I can personally think of nothing worse than spending my twilight years with an illness that affects the memories i've made and the people ive met.  Please consider giving generously to this fantastic cause.

As an after note, many of you may know that I was due to run the Marathon 4 years ago but was hospitalised with Pneumonia before the run so this marks a particularly physical challenge for me.  Thanks so much for reading my page!
