Story

Before you read anymore, i'm probably going to regret this but..... if i reach my target before November then i will run from the finnish line to Corsham which will take me to over 100 miles and means the last stage will actually be closer to 50 miles. If that's not an incentive to part with some pennies i don't know what is. Did i say run..... i think i meant crawl....

Thankyou so much for sponsoring me, every penny helps. As we all know the military is taking a battering in Afghanistan at the moment and every penny we can raise to help the injured soldiers and their families will make a difference. I know many of you will feel that Help For Heroes already recieves a lot of money from events around the country but with the death and injury toll rising almost daily it's important we keep the money coming in for our heroes. Unfortunately my family have had the experience of 'our hero' (sorry Steve) being injured and flown home whilst on operations. Very fortunately for us he is back on his feet and looking forward to returning to Ops but many of his friends were not so lucky. Unfortunately there are far too many families that have shared this experience and much worse , which, as i'm sure you'll understand is why this charity means a lot to me.

Whilst not actively being on tour i'd like to take the opportunity to help in any way i can. What better way to do this than pushing the boundaries of what we believe we are capable of. Either out of stupidity or ignorance (i'll let you know later on) i've signed up for the Druid challenge.

I'll be running along the oldest roadway in the UK from Buckinghamshire to Avebury in Wiltshire. The route covers 82miles (hence setting a target of £10 per mile - £820) and will take 3 days, nearly a marathon a day, consecutively.

The training will be tough and the run itself even tougher but the thought of what our men and women around the world are doing and knowing i can do my bit to help will keep me going (i hope!). Please please help me in this challenge in any way you can. I'll keep you updated on the training, i won't have time for much else!!! :)

It is not the mountain we conquer, but ourselves.

Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go.
