Folks,

This page is to support on a charitable venture that I am participating in for the first two weeks of 2011.  We are embarking on the Rickshaw Run!

 We intend to drive a rickshaw (or ‘Tuk-Tuk’) around 2,500km from the north to the south of .  The ‘race’ starts in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan and (all going well) we will end up in , Kerala, two weeks later!  With a ‘Tuk Tuk’ capable of speeds approaching 30mph, rough Indian roads and no real plans for where we sleep at night, as you might imagine this is quite an adventure.  However, we are taking on this challenge to raise much needed funds for FRANK Water projects.

FRANK Water is one of the charities supported by the Rickshaw Run, as they are significantly involved in building clean water projects in rural villages in .  780,000 deaths a year in are directly linked to poor quality water and sanitation, with a shocking 75% of these deaths occurring in children under the age of five.

I would be grateful if you would be willing to contribute anything you can to help us on this journey!

 Any donation, no matter how small, will be gratefully received and will go towards our £2000 target.  Donations can be either directly made through the Just Giving page below or through cash/cheque directly made to myself.  Every pound raised will give one person access to clean water for life!!
