After being in Kenya for almost 20 years, we finally can go on furlough together as a family. We've always been a large family with the result that cost and logistics kept us from traveling as an entire group. Finally we are 'down' to four and look forward to spending a few months in South Africa next year.

Our daughter, Joy, is getting married in February 2022 and would love for all of us to be there, of course. However, we'll also take some well-deserved down-time as a family, do site-seeing, visiting partners in different parts of South Africa and hopefully visit the Global Strategist for Sustainable and Holistic Transformation for One Collective in East London.

Our work in Lomolo 'A' has been intense, especially since dealing with a lot of hopelessness after the recent drought destroyed most of the crops in this marginalized area. We're currently looking at ways on how to come alongside local change-makers to see how we can create work to help the 340 families who have all been displaced from their homes in the Mau Forest by the Kenyan Government. We hope to learn more in East London on how to effectively serve the precious people of this Village.
