I will be taking part in the 2019 Children's Exmoor Challenge over the weekend of 10 - 12th May 2019 in aid of the Starlight Children's Foundation.

This event, up to 24.5 Km (15.3 miles) in length consists of a challenging route around parts of Exmoor. Since Exmoor can experience poor weather, strong winds and undulating terrain any sponsorship collected will be very well earned. As those that undertook the 2018 event will testify this is a tough challenge.

I will set off with my daddy on Friday afternoon making our way to Exmoor where we will pitch our tent ready for an early start on Saturday morning. We will walk across the moors with 200 other teams, fingers crossed that it won't been raining and that the weather is kind. It will be tough but my determination and perservirance will help me succeed in this challenge. Once completed we will spend another night under the stars and will then leave Sunday morning with tired legs but happy hearts.

Starlight children's foundation is a national children's charity dedicated to brightening the lives of seriously ill children and their families.

They do this through hospital play, distraction and entertainment services, wish granting and the starlight escapes. These programmes deliver the support and experiences that children, young people and families needs to escape the routine and reality of living with a serious illness.

WISHES - They restore the magic and fun of being a child by granting wishes of a lifetime for families to look forward to, share and remember.

ESCAPES - From private film screenings to fun on a farm, the starlight escapes give families an escape from treatment and time for some fun together.

ENTERTAINMENT - Captain starlight is a super-hero who visits hospitals everyday from planet starlight. Fun's provided wherever its needed captivating the imagination of every child he meets.
