Bike Ride Statistics:  Mileage - 178 miles, Av Speed - 10 mph, Amount raised £1,800,  Punctures - 2 (both Johnny!!),  Sense of Humour Failures - 1 (Lydia at 7.30pm in the rain and dark when we missed the turning to the hotel!)

Lydia is now embarking on another challenge for Greenhouse Schools Project.......a bike ride from Paris to London.  She will be covering over 220 miles in 3 1/2 days.

For those who have already sponsored the London 2 Bristol ride, this is a freebie.........for those who didn't.........here's another chance!!

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. We would be delighted and most grateful if you would dig deep and sponsor us for this 3 day, 160 miles cycle ride.

This started as an HSBC Private Bank initiative as a way of raising funds and profile for its chosen charity, Greenhouse Schools Project, by cycling to the newly opened Bristol Regional Office.  Johnny kindly/foolishly agreed to train with Lydia and then to actually take part in the event itself!

The main focus of Greenhouse Schools Project is to provide sports, performing arts coaching and mentoring programmes for disadvantaged and marginalised young people.  The focus is on vulnerable children aged 11-16, those at risk of offending and those who suffer significant disadvantage as a result of living in areas of social deprivation or living with a mental or physical disability.  We both feel that we have been lucky enough to have had access to fantastic sports facilities throughout our youth and that it would be great to help support those less fortunate.
