Story
Hello everyone!
Thank you so much to all those of you who participated in my bear tRAil 4 NRAS.
The total raised is a fabulous £156.00 plus £20.03 in Gift Aid; this has gone directly to NRAS through this Just Giving page.
The bear's name has been drawn, SAFFRON ! The person choosing that name is Lottie Watson from Salford, Manchester. Saffron will be on her way to her new home later to day :)
Thank you everyone for continuing to support both NRAS and myself.

This year celebrates the 10th Birthday of NRAS (the National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society). A charity that I am passionate about, not least because I have Rheumatoid Arthritis!
I have had RA for a long time now and know that for many people the help NRAS offers, through various resources, provides a link to information and contacts that can be a lifeline for those diagnosed with this progressive disease. I would like to do something, undoubtedly quite insignificant in the whole scheme of things but, which will help NRAS in some small way continue and extend the fantastic service it offers.
So, you ask, what am I going to do? In a moment of madness, (quite possibly RA drug induced!), I decided “10” individual challenges would be the way to go on the premise that for each challenge I chose I would always have a group of people I could reach. Well, you always get someone who doesn’t “do” sponsorship or doesn’t want to see another cake ... you know the ones?! Now, there’s no excuse!
The 10th Birthday Appeal
Rheumatoid Arthritis affects around 680,000 people in the UK, with approximately 26,000 new cases diagnosed each year.
We help people who live with this debilitating disease through our freephone helpline, free information and publications, our nationwide volunteer network offering one to one telephone support and group meetings, and campaigning to raise awareness of the disease and ensure fair treatment and best use of resources for all.
