This is the first year for me , as i will be joining my Cousin Terry " Bulldog" Dennis for this event as his trusty navigator , so us Good Old Boys are going to have fun raising money for a very important charity , that deserves all the surpport it can get . we may not win this event , but as with previous year the big winner is Macmillian , so please Give generously as much as you can spare and lets make this year a big one for those who need it most .

WHY ARE WE DOING IT

Macmillian cancer support exists to help improve the lives of people living with cancer and their families and carers. 1 in 3 of us will get cancer and we are all affected. with the loss of family members due to cancer and the support the Macmillian has given my family its good to try and give something back and this is our way of thanking them. by giving them the funding to help others in times of need. Macmillian Cancer Support relies on voluntary donations for 99% of there income, so they simply couldn't do what they do for people affected by cancer without your support. so please donate how ever small it all helps

 JUST A LITTLE ABOUT THE EVENT

The 'Macmillan 4x4 UK Challenge', or the 'Mac 4x4' or the 'Mac' as it has become known is a ‘Challenge’ – it aims to test navigational skills, observation, on and off road driving ability and endurance; by day and night. Each team consists of two people and it is strongly recommended that both are licensed and insured to drive the vehicle for the event. In simpler terms a weekend of fun covering between 400 and a 1000 road miles with various off road sections en route. covering england , ireland and scotland . the mac last year raised over £100,000 for the Macmillian Cancer Support organisation in 2008 aloan , and since its start in 2002 has raised some £420,000 for Macmillian.
