12 members of the MCU Team at Barclaycard, Northampton have decided to jump 10,000feet from an aeroplane to support our charity, Dogs for the Disabled. These brave souls are determined enough to go one step further to help assist Dogs for the Disabled continue to train these amazing dogs for these amazing people. At an airfield near Northampton they will fly to approximately 10,000ft and exit the aeroplane, freefalling for the first 5,000ft before gracefully descending to the ground! The achievement for many of those taking part is to overcome and deal with their own fear of heights, flying or nerves at the thought of the jump, both on the day and leading up to it. This is how we imagine those people feel about their daily tasks before they are partnered with a dog from the charity, Dogs for the Disabled. Through practical tasks their dogs offer freedom and independence, but in addition an assistance dog becomes a reason to go out, giving a new found confidence that opens doors to fresh opportunities including friendships, hobbies, education and even careers. Unlike our MCU Flyers this gives a thrill that lasts a lifetime and not just a few minutes! The partnerships that are created between people with disabilities and dogs are life-changing, however it is not free to train these superb canine partners and every penny raised will enable this Charity to continue making a difference.   Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
