The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. We empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.

Story

After my last year's bicycle ride from Amsterdam to Paris to raise funds to benefit AIDS vaccine research, my challenge this year is to raise funds for Guide Dogs for the Blind. I will do this by riding my bicycle from Geneva, over several famous mountain passes in the French Alps including Colombiere, Telegraphe, and Galibier, to the top of L'Alpe d'Huez. The ride is about 400 kilometers in five days and will have over 10,000 meters of elevation gain.

The week long physical challenge I am undertaking pales in comparison to the challenges faced every day by blind and paritially sighted people. Your challenge is to support me by donating generously to the Guide Dogs for the Blind. The work of Guide Dogs for The Blind enables them to help the blind and paritally sighted people overcome challenges far greater than most of us will ever face.

Because my employer, TSF Europe/Asia, has generously agreed to donate an amount that will cover the costs and provide the minimum donation to enable me to ride, your donation will directly benefit Guide Dogs for the Blind for their work and will be very much appreciated by everyone concerned.
