Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Had a wonderful 60 mile ride on the Sunday along with thousands of others who set out early in the morning. We escaped a torrential downpour by reaching the refreshment point just in time. Otherwise the weather was perfect. Along the way we passed hundreds of people who  must have been cheering for hours by the time we passed. It was inspirational to be among so many people cycling to support their various causes and it feels great to have done it.

I cycled with Chris, a colleague and friend, and Employer Solutions have supported too. Our time was 5 hours 10 minutes and actual distance just over 62 miles - making an average speed of 12 mph. Not quite Le Tour de France!

Thanks to all who have donated; it is fantastic to see so much support and receive so many kind wishes. My Mum was deeply grateful to the Christie and able to support me just in time. As for the target, you will see that it has been met - not by me but by all of you!
