Mum and I are swimming 1 mile in Lake Windermere in June 2013 to raise money for Air Ambulance in memory of Charlotte Cole who tragically passed away in 2011 aged 23.

With around 10,000 participants the Great North Swim is the UKs biggest open water swimming event. It's going to be a hard swim with the water temperature likely to be around10c. 

Mum and I think of ourselves as good swimmers, but 1 mile in open water is going to be a BIG challenge!

Event day is Saturday 15th June 2013 with cold feet commencing at 13.30!
