Story
In August 2011 my wife passed away after an 18 month battle with Triple Negative Breast Cancer and spent her last days being cared for by the amazing team at the Trinity Hospice in Clapham.
Nothing was too much for the team at the Trinity who provide an oasis of calm and tranquillity for patients and family alike at an incredibly difficult time, something which just can’t be provided in the chaotic environment of a Hospital.
As well as end of life care The Trinity Hospice provide a range of other services to the terminally ill and their families and need £8m per year to continue their work. Any help you can give would be hugely appreciated.
For the avoidance of doubt we are funding the entire trip and all money raised will go directly to the Trinity Hospice
We will be driving 4000 miles through Spain, Morocco, The Western Sahara, across some minefields into Mauritania, then down through Senegal and into the Gambia in a 16 year old Jeep named Doris. At the end of the Rally the Jeep will be auctioned off and the money raised distributed amongst local Charities. We are leaving on the 12 December and will be returning on the 9 January. Nothing scares me more than the fact it is unlikely I will be able to get a decent cup of tea in the middle of the desert.
