Story

On the 16th June a group of us, are cycling from Lands End to John O`Groats and aim to cycle the 980 miles over 12 days in aid of charity. I am riding as part of a 3 person relay team each doing 4 days and about 350 miles.

Richard Percival (Percy to his mates) was a friend of from Twyford village who sadly died of a stroke last year whilst training to do the Lands End John O'Groats bike ride. It's one of the toughest cycling challenges in the UK.

So was born Percy's Pals.

Percy's Pals is a charity affiliated to Southampton Hospital that was set up by Percy's friends to fund a portable scanner for the stroke unit in which Percy was treated. It's a vital piece of equipment that is much needed and will greatly reduce scan times and hence improve treatment for future stroke victims.
