"Margaret Brown late of St Andrews endured cancer some years ago and sadly it returned in recent times. Like many, Margaret had also lost family members to cancer and her everlasting wish was to support others.

For many years she raised significant sums through her exceptional baking skills, making donations to countless charities and organisations. She also completed a number of Moon Walks and Pink Ribbon walks, again raising much needed funds.

She suffered pain with privacy and with dignity and did not share her own challenges with others. However, she recognised that Cancer Support Scotland is an organisation which provides counselling and assistance to cancer sufferers and their loved ones.

We will miss Margaret enormously but take comfort in the knowledge that she spent much of her life helping others."
