We provide help and hope to everyone living with dementia.

Story

The end of 2014 was the worst year of my life, the person i love more than words can say past away. she was my best friend and she was my Nanna. she had vascular Dementia and suffered for 7 years. she was only 69 years of age. she was a lovely lady who never had a lot in life, but that's okay because all she wanted was her family. The family had nothing but love for her.

Christmas 2014 all we wanted to do was bring my Nanna home for Christmas to spend it with all the family, and make it a Christmas she wouldn't forget. it was all going good, we went to pick her up from the care home that she lived in she had picked out a fabulous outfit just for the day. all was going good but the man up in sky needed a new angel sadly that afternoon she went into cardiac arrest and my whole world was turned upside down as the rest of the family, then all of a sudden a hero came to the rescue in the name of my fantastic husband who  helped to save her life. he did what he could.

I and the family couldn't be more thankful and proud of him. he saved her life if only for a couple more days but it was enough time for all the family to say goodbye and to get my Auntie home to say goodbye and to be at her bedside. my Nanna was the luckiest lady i know she had a fantastic family all helping day to day life. The best thing about my life is she got to see the day i got married to my best friend, i will always remember that day like it was yesterday. i wish you was here to see what i have now in life and for me to share it with you sadly the man in the sky took you too soon but i know she is with me at all times.

I love and miss you so much.... I'm doing all this for her and to try and get rid of this horrible deises

right so less than a week to go..... I've been in training for the GELT GLADIATOR (not that I'm anywhere near ready) now its come to that time i plunged myself into mud, ice baths, electric shocks. all to raise a little more money for my chosen charity in memory of a lovely lady that i miss so much. i hope she is looking down at me and thinking what are you doing, as she would say to me..xx
