We Highland Cross raises money for causes to benefit the people of the Highlands

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The Highland Cross is a 50 mile duathalon - a 20 mile run/walk through glorious countryside from Kintail to Glen Affric, where we pick up the bikes to cycle the remaining 30 miles to beautiful Beauly.  This year I will try to run some of it (though training hasn't quite taken off yet) and improve on last year's time.  Our team managed to raise over £1000 last year so hopefully we can achieve or top that this year with your help.

The charities benefiting this year are:

Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland which aims to improve the quality of life for people in Scotland affected by chest, heart and stroke illness;

Lochleven Community Minibus which provides a flexible community wheelchair accessible minibus service;

Birchwood Highland which helps to improve the quality of life for people in the Highlands with mental health issues;

The Seagull Trust which aims to provide specially adapted canal boats for disabled people of all ages so that they can enjoy cruises on Scottish canals.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

I hope you can help by donating

Many thanks

Marianne (Bea Milne...I'll explain later)
