Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. In 2014 I joined Acre, where I learnt about Annabel's Story. Annabel is the daughter of our colleague, Beth Mitchell. Anyone who reads Annabel’s Story cannot fail to be incredibly moved by the level of care, attention and effort on every level, including the little things, that GOSH undertook and still delivers to Annabel and her family today (see http://acre-foundation.com/24peaks/annabels-story/).

GOSH came into Acre to talk through their work and what the donations mean to the children they treat. Understanding more about this very local charity to us here at Acre, which I was surprised to learn treats children from all over the UK, has driven me to do something that is not in my nature at all – a physically enduring event that I’m absolutely dreading: Tough Mudder.

Those that know me will know that I am by no means a natural athlete - the girl that came last in Sports Day races and prefers burying her head in a book  - and so this is truly a huge challenge for me. However, children like Annabel and their families go through so much; this is my own small way to recognise and experience what it takes to keep going when life is hard.
