Story

On Friday 21st July 2017, along with 23 other riders I will be setting off from Great Ormond Street Hospital, London aiming to reach the Eiffel Tower, Paris in just 24 hours. In total we are hoping to cover 270 miles whilst raising money for the two worthy charities below.

The Naomi Fund was set up to celebrate the life of Naomi Fardell who sadly passed away having been born with several congenital heart defects.

Over the years many events have been organised in Naomi’s memory with monies raised going to Great Ormond Street Hospital, Heart link @ Glenfield Hospital and The Kingfisher Ward & Community Team at Grantham Hospital. Naomi frequently visited all of these places during her short life.

The Willow Foundation was founded in 1999 by former Arsenal goalkeeper and TV presenter, Bob Wilson and his wife, Megs, as a lasting memorial to their daughter, Anna, who died of cancer aged 31. Her self-named ‘Special Days’ became a focus for quality of time and quality of life, providing a welcome distraction from the challenging realities of living with a serious and life-threatening illness and restoring some normality back into all their lives.

Any donation you wish to give will make such a difference to those in need.
