Apart from the BHF being a worthwhile cause to raise funds for, its major fundraiser  - the annual London to Brighton Bike Ride  - is a marvellous event to be a part of. 

It might be a bit knackering; it might be a bit of a challenge  and it might make my bum feel like it has just spent several months in a Moroccan prison, but at the end of it, you cross that finish line with a real sense of achievement. It's a truly unique feeling... that only you and the other 26,000 riders will experience.

This may well be the last time I do this ride, but even so, I've still set my target low in order to avoid disappointment.
