The team of Fox-ter-dens is limbering up for the Royal Parks Half Marathon. On the 10th of October we will be sweating across 13 miles of London’s turf and tarmac.

For some of us the final countdown sparks thrill and excitement, for others it sparks panic and a lot of last minute training. But we’re all being motivated by the opportunity to raise money for the Family Rights Group (FRG).

FRG is the national charity which supports families who are involved with local authority children's services. 

'After advice and help from FRG I received an unreserved apology, backdated monies, and a compensation payment for all the distress this has caused my family. Finally my voice has been heard. However my family has been to hell and back, unnecessarily. If it were not for this charity my grandsons would be in care now and a family torn apart.The system that should support families in difficult situations often does the complete opposite'.

 

There are 200,000 vulnerable children in this country who cannot live with their parents, FRG helps to make sure they are kept safe and secure by those closest to them such as grandparents or other relatives. 

It does this by advising, advocating and campaigning for families whose children are involved with, or need, social care services. FRG provides confidential telephone advice and support for parents and family members. It works to increase the voice children and families have in the services they use, and promotes policies and practices that improve children's lives.
