Story
I have taken on the challenge of fundraising for the Royal Marines by abseiling off The Shard,Western Europe's tallest skyscraper. It is 309 metres high(1016 feet) This is twice the height of the spire of Salisbury Cathedral. For more information visit www.descentoftheshard.com.
It is 50 years since I joined the Royal Marines, and I owe a debt of gratitude for all the comradeship, training and adventure since that time. Before that my first job was with Outward Bound,so there is a synergy in this venture
The Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fund has the widest charitable purposes of almost any service charity, and quite simply will help when others cannot .When the worst happens they aid the wounded and give quality of life to those returning from operations. This is why I want to support them.
Thank you so much for your help.
