Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Is it a sign of age that we're asking for sponsorship for ourselves rather than our children? Anyway... Amanda and I will be taking part in a 10k sponsored walk in Richmond Park on Sunday 9th May. I've been involved with NASS for over twenty years (and had AS even longer). It's always been a good charity but recently it has taken on a new lease of life and is doing some great work to help people with AS. We'd be very grateful if you could sponsor one or even both of us.  (Amanda has her own page and, of course, there's no competition between us as to who can raise the most money.)

I didn't write the next bit -

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on, pass them to journalists from the News of the World or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate (although not recommended for blood, sperm or kidneys). I raise more (money that is), whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

And I've already donated the £1 that I found down the back of the sofa.

About the charity

NASS is only charity in the UK dedicated to supporting people with axial spondyloarthritis (AS), a painful, progressive rheumatic disease which mainly affects the spine. An estimated 200,000 people live with AS in the UK. Our 90+ branches across the UK offer regular exercise to anyone with AS.
