In 2008 my family was devastated with the news that my father in law, Dave, had been diagnosed with terminal cancer. After the initial shock of this diagnosis we were told that Chemotherapy may have a chance at extending his life, and give him more time with his family.

Unfortunately in 2009, he passed away and I only know too well how much care and dedication the team at the Clatterbridge Cancer Centre put into making his time their as comfortable and as pain free as possible during his treatment in the fight against this horrid disease.

This Centre, this charity currently help provide the young and the old, get the best possible care. With your support, we can fund pioneering research, the latest cancer treatments & vital services - ranging from new innovations to the special touches that help to change lives.

This will be my 2nd time running the London Marathon and I know the effort that is need just to survive the 26.2 miles. It will take you body and break it, but if it means I can reach my fund raising target and help this worthwhile charity then it is worth it!!

We all know someone who has either suffered, and battled cancer, or passed away as a result of cancer, so my fundraising is to support the research and help aid the fight back!!
