Having never been to New York before, this will be a great opportunity for me and Mark to see 26.2 miles of The Big Apple - who needs a tour bus..

Lucy is coming to cheer us on, she was initially in the running team, but has since had to pull out due to an injury (we haven't seen a medical certificate but we do believe her!).

Where the money goes

Lucy got in touch with Ken from Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research TV Times associated charity, and a charity we have run for many times over the years to try and source us some places.  And as Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2010, we thought it was a good year to raise some extra cash for them.

Who is Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research?

Our sole aim is to invest in research that brings the most benefit to patients with blood cancers including leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma.  

Our research is focused on finding the causes, improving diagnosis and treatments and running groundbreaking clinical trials. By funding research across the UK we ensure that all blood cancer patients receive the very best care at a leading local hospital.

As we are now over half way through our training schedules, it may seem a long way off, but roll on the 7th November, so we can at last enjoy a nice, refreshing ice cold beer at the finish line.
