We provide all-Wales emergency air cover to serve Wales & save lives 365 days a year

Story

In September 2014 I and 11 others will be doing a 3 day cycle challenge called the airbase challenge.

We start in Caernarfon in North Wales at the airbase where the air ambulance is based in North Wales on day 1 and cycle to Welshpool which is about 82 miles. Day 2 we will leave the Welshpool airbase and undertake a 72 mile journey to Lampeter. Day 3 is a  final big push to complete the hill infested 52 mile journey to Folly Farm in Pembrokeshire where we will be celebrating our accomplishment with drinks and entertainment.

About the charity

The Wales Air Ambulance Charity provides advanced life-saving emergency care for everyone in Wales, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We are a ‘mobile emergency department’ that relies entirely on donations to keep our helicopters in the air and rapid response vehicles on the road.
