Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I'm running in the Cardiff half-marathon on October 18th 2009.

For several years I've supported the University of Life in Brazil (via Hand in Hand).  This is a Christain-based project which provides extra schooling and educational support to children in the slums of Fortaleza - including sports, music, drama and dance.  It really works, saving many kids from life in gangs, drugs and prostitution, and kids from the project are now finishing college courses - something they never dreamed of before.

This year the project was damaged by the worst rains in 20 years which caused flooding and water damage - to the roof and walls of the main block - PCs and equipment were also damaged as were the plumbing, sewerage, electrical and computer network systems.  We need money to fix all of this.  Please help.
