On the 7th and 8th of August along with the rest of the Mercedes-Benz of Newcastle cyclists will be spending a night in a youth hostel before departing from Ravensglass to Carlisle and then Newcastle for the daunting 2 day journey on route 72 http://www.cycle-routes.org/HADRIANSCYCLEWAY/.

The Friends of Hadrian School is now into its ninth year, and has been a registered charity for just over seven years. We have become firmly established as an excellent means to raise funds which ‘enhance the education of the pupils of Hadrian School by providing or assisting in the provision of educational, recreational and other charitable facilities not normally provided by the Local Education Authority’ .

 

Our team at Mercedes-Benz of Newcastle are still in the early stages of involvement with the Hadrian school but from my brief involvement it is clear that there is an enormous sense of fun shared amongst staff and children alike.  I can compare what I have seen of this school to FISH, a short film produced in New York where everyone involved share in the fun.
