I am running the half marathon in September (I know I am mad!!) I wanted to raise money for an organisation that was close to my heart. Training to be a midwife has been very rewarding for me and I can't wait until I qualify. Although the UK maternity health care system could be better I have come to realise that we are also very blessed that maternal deaths are rare in our country. However this is not the case in other countries around the world.

Nearly every minute a woman dies of pregnancy related complications.
