THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR YOUR DONATIONS AND KIND MESSAGES.
OH I did struggle to complete this event. It was such a lovely day very warm but thankfully a breeze and occasional cloud which was great.Bit achey this morning but so chuffed and in a while I might say I enjoyed it!!
For those who like to know about times it took me 9hours 22mins.
Thank you all so much for your donations for Macmillan.
I hope the final target will be £1000ish but will update with a final tally
On 26th June 2010, I am taking on the challenge of walking the Yorkshire Three Peaks, Pen-y-ghent (694 metres), Whernside (736 metres) & Ingleborough (723 metres) totaling 25 miles.
I am choosing to do this for Macmillan Cancer Support who were an amazing support and help for our family during Maxine's short illness. The help they provided gave us the precious time with Maxine and allowed us to concentrate on spending all our time with her.
Maxine was an incredible daughter, full of joy & fun and she made such a difference to all that knew her. Maxine would chuckle at me attempting this task!
Maxine sadly died on 26th March 2006, (Mothers Day) aged 32 years of secondary liver cancer. She is constantly inspiring me to make an effort and help raise money that will help other families through those tough times.
£40 could fund the Macmillan Cancer line for two hours
£98 could fund a benefits advisor for one day
£188 could fund a Macmillan Nurse for one day
£544 could fund a Macmillan Information Centre for one day
