Mary Beker: February 2, 1917 - October 24, 2009

Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother, Nanna, Great-Grand-Nanna, Aunt, Counsellor and Friend. 

Mary Beker passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and friends after losing the fight against liver cancer.  Her memories will live on through us all in the many, many stories we share about her incredible life.  In her own words she was rich in her family and friends.

Mary requested no flowers at this time.  However, should you wish to mark her passing, please do so through a donation to Macmillan Cancer Support.  MCS have been a tremendous support both to Mary and her three fabulous "nurses" (Henry, Margarita and Louise) in these difficult but special last weeks.  Particular thanks from the family to Kenn, the Palliative Care Nurse, and Carol, the District Nurse, whose company and counsel Mary greatly appreciated.  Mary would also be pleased to see donations to MCS for others she was close to who have been touched by cancer.
