AND ANOTHER......

STOP PRESS.....STOP PRESS......

If you see then please do  say hello - although shout as I'll have my IPOD on.

STOP PRESS.....STOP PRESS......STOP PRESS.....

As some of you may know I couldn't run the Robin Hood Half Marathon on Sunday 12th due to bout of food poisoning on Friday evening and Saturday.  (I could hardly walk on Sunday morning never mind to the thirteen miles.....It was all very unpleasant...)

HOWEVER......I will still be running the Nottingham course in early October and School For Parents (the charity I am raising funds for) will be trying to get a :theatre director completes race....a month late..." press story from it to further raise the profile of the organisation.

Will keep you up to date details of new run date....

Cheers

STOP PRESS......STOP PRESS.......STOP PRESS....

Having completed the London Marathon earlier this year I thought I'd go for half the distance this time round.

Although I haven't exactly caught the running bug (and my bouncy castle based hip injury has meant I haven't done any training over the past month....) I did gain an enormous amount from doing the London race and  I am hopeful to get the same from the Robin Hood Half Marathon on Sunday 12th September,

Whilst training for the London run I was rehearsing / directing A DAY IN THE DEATH OF JOE EGG at Nottingham Playhouse - a play about a young couple and their struggle to bring up their daughter who has cerabal palsy.  During these rehearsals mysefl and the cast had wonderful support from the Rutland House School for Parents - a charity that provides educational - and emotional - support for children and parents of children with this condition and other mobility and communication difficulties

It is a wonderful building and charity, with a fantastically committed staff team, and they deserve all the help and support they get.  I was delighted to take up their invitation to fundraise on their behalf by taking part in the Robin Hood Half Marathon and although I'll probably end up walking most of it (did I mention my bouncy castle related hip injury?), I hope you can support me again in my attempt to raise as much money as possible for them.

Cheers

Matt
