The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. We empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.

Story

Please support “Guide Dogs” by attending a great event  this Saturday, 21 August, 2010 – a rare opportunity to see both a top quality U.K. Country Music band, and to meet Matt in person!

“West Virginia” – After more than thirty years at the top and having been inducted into The British Country Music Hall of Fame, they are still regarded as one of British Country Music’s premier bands.

Guide Dogs“ – Registered Charity No. England & Wales 209617, Scotland SC038979 – was founded in 1931, and is a charity that receives no government funding for the guide dogs service.  The guide dog service is entirely dependent on voluntary donations.  The guide dog service costs the guide dog owner a nominal fee of just 50 pence to ensure equality for all in the UK.  They are a world leader in breeding and training guide dogs and are a co-founder of the International Guide Dog Federation.  The charity employs 1000 professional staff in the UK supported by 10,000 volunteers, including puppy walkers, brood-stock holders, dog boarders and thousands of local fundraisers.
