Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As some of you may be aware my dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer nine years ago and has been treated with radiotherapy and hormones since then. He is doing very well at the moment and since his diagnosis he has set a great example to his family and friends by showing his determination to get on with things despite his cancer. Since diagnosis he has become a magistrate, a business mentor for The Prince’s Trust and also works for one day a week with the community fundraising team at The Prostate Cancer Charity.
There are not many times when you can make a difference and "help the cause”. I could therefore think of nothing better than to run the London Marathon in aid of The Prostate Cancer Charity. They helped my dad when he was first diagnosed and now it is my turn to help them. From what dad has told me they do a fantastic amount of work to help people with prostate cancer, help with research into it and to inform men about the disease.
As you will all know I haven’t even run to the end of the street before now (!), let alone run a marathon, so this will be a real challenge so please dig deep and give as much as you can to help achieve my target.
Donating through Just Giving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details will be safe and are never sold on. Once you donate they will send your money directly to the charity and make sure gift aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.
Once again please dig deep and thank you in advance for you kind donations.Information on Prostate Cancer
