Paul and I have been moved by the experience of our friend and his poorly daughter, Merlyn. Here's what Hugh has to say about Clic;
"Clic Sargent is a charity that gives support to families who have a child with cancer.
They help with counselling, finances and all the paperwork you have to fill in to receive the benefits you are entitled to such as Disability Living Allowance and Carer's Allowance. They also provide holidays at several locations around the U.K.
All of which is reliant upon donations and sponsorship.
Without this support we ourselves would not have been able to cope with the challenges we face on a daily basis."
We wanted to help out in some way and in typically maverick fashion a drunken conversation became a challenge - to ride from Coast to Coast off road, sticking as close to the Wainwright route as possible (none of this road cycling malarkey)
Please donate generously, your money will go towards providing specialist nurses, play specialists, a home from home for young cancer sufferers and helping survivors and supporting the families of the bereaved.
