Hello people,

To those who may know me well- I am going against my general nature and doing something charitable! On the 6th September 2009 I shall be participating in the Great Yorkshire Run....not only that but it is all for charity. I am raising money for the Sheffield Wildlife Trust.

Just a little bit about my chosen charity:

There are 47 local Wildlife Trusts across the whole of the UK, the Isle of Man and Alderney.  With 765,000 members, we are the largest UK voluntary organisation dedicated to conserving the full range of the UK's habitats and species, whether they be in the countryside, in cities or at sea. 135,000 of our members belong to our junior branch, Wildlife Watch, which aims to foster a lifelong love of nature in children.

We manage 2,200 nature reserves covering more than 84,000 hectares; we stand up for wildlife; we inspire people about the natural world and we promote sustainable living.

Together, we are working for an environment rich in wildlife for everyone.

Not only that but I am following this up with a bungee jump on Sunday 14th September as a bit of a freebie which bothers me slightly more than being overtaken by someone using a zimmer frame whilst running through the beautiful streets of Sheffield.

So that is two instances of severe discomfort for myself- so if that is enough to get you to part with a bit of cash please do so.
