Story
Hello and thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On the 25th June 2014 I will be cycling over 330 miles in 3 days from York to Aberdovey as part of the annual Aberdovey Bike Ride organised by West Midlands Police.
The ride has been going for over 20 years and raises tens of thousands of pounds for a variety of different charities every year. This year, to celebrate the Tour de France starting in England, I will be participating in a special 3 day event starting in Yorkshire and finishing at the yacht club in Aberdovey. Our route will go something like this:
Day 1 - York to Sheffield - 128 miles following Stage 2 of the Tour de France route
Day 2 - Sheffield to Wolverhampton - 80 miles
Day 3 - Wolverhampton to Aberdovey - 123 miles
This is the bit where you come in! Everybody knows someone who has been affected by cancer. It is the toughest thing anyone can face so this year I will be riding for Macmillan Cancer Support. Macmillan provide practical, medical and financial support and push for better cancer care. They are a source of support, helping with all the things that people affected by cancer want and need, helping carers, families and communities.
The Aberdovey Bike Ride generates thousands of pounds every year and all the charities that will benefit from the 2014 ride are listed here, along with previous years donations:

This is the bit where I grovel for your cash... please give as much as you can spare to a fantastic cause. No donation is too small! I'm aiming to raise over £1000 and the organisers guarantee 100% of your donation will go to charity as all costs are covered by riders in advance.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thanks again for supporting me and the ride.
Matt
