My son Archie was born on 8th August 2012 the birth was very difficult and he was was unable to breathe on his own he was rushed to the intensive care unit at Birmingham children's hospital where he subsequently spent the next 5 months undergoing various life saving operations and ongoing care. As you can imagine these we're extremely harrowing times for me and my wife and at times we really struggled to cope and also come to terms with what was happening but thanks got the kind,caring and understanding staff on  p.i.c.u we pulled through and we are all home now although Archie's condition remains complex he is thriving all thanks to Birmingham children's hospital. We know we will be in and out of hospital over the coming years due to Archie's ongoing care.
