MediCinema is a small charity which allows hospital patients, including many young children with long-term health needs, to feel a sense of normality by building cinemas within hospitals. The cinemas are specially designed to accommodate this, and allow patients to be taken to see films in hospital beds while having treatments such as intravenous therapies under supervision of nursing staff.

As we both work within the NHS, we are aware of the negative psychological impact which a prolonged or unexpected hospital stay can have on people and their loved ones. As a nurse in a children's hospital which is lucky enough to have a MediCinema, Meg has seen how strong a positive impact this charity can have, allowing children and teenagers to share enjoyable experiences with their families during an otherwise stressful time.

We are therefore kindly asking that if any of our guests intended to buy us wedding gifts they instead make a small donation to MediCinema.
