2nd July 1989- A Granddaughter was born - 2nd of September 2011- a Grandfather was lost. Thats exactly 22years and 2 months of a loving relationship. He was a man that many, many loved so supportive, special, and wonderful and caused so many beautiful happy memories in my life. His death broke my heart. For me this is the first devestating loss I've ever gone through and I want to acheive something great in his memory. I told him this year I was applying for the Virgin London Marathon - He said "wow you complete it I'll give you a 100 pounds" - little did I know It would be me aiming to giving his Hospice 2000 pounds. The Princess Alice Hospice is such an amazing place they survive on 75% charity !! A hospice for those of you who don't know is a place for those who have terminal illnesses to be cared for. I am so proud to be supporting them and helping others have a dignified end of their journey and making it easier for their family's to let go. They did more for my family and I than I can ever express. I ask you to please give what you can to help the Princess Alice Hospicess continue their good work in this world. Thankyou Melanie xxx
