Hi to all my family, friends, colleagues and business associates, for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am proud to be taking part in the Hastings Half Marathon on 21st March, thats only 7 sundays left; and my first ever half marathon. I have been training hard over the last couple of weeks, training three or four nights a week and I've also been able to fit in a glass or two of vino; ok then a bottle or two!

Im competing in the event with fellow Royal Mail colleagues and we are all supporting a real worthy cause 'The Oliver Curd trust'. Please take a few moments to read about this special charity and the support that they provide.

Oliver was diagnosed with a rare bone cancer, a Ewings Sarcoma in April 2006. He completed treatment at the Royal Marsden Hospital in May 2007, but sadly lost his brave fight with the disease in November 2007. The objective and purpose of the charity is to provide fully equipped holiday accommodation to families supporting children and young people in the UK suffering from childhood cancer and other life threatening illnesses. The Oliver Curd Trust is a charity that seeks to provide holiday memories, happiness and periods of escape for these children and their families during very difficult and trying times.

And as you will see from my photos above  I do have a real challenge ahead, picture 1 being my current state also a great picture as it gives you an insight into my training schedule and picture 2 my desired state; oh if only I could look like that.....enjoy!!!!
