In 2014, I found myself in hospital after a serious bout of mental health. It was a dark and daunting experience that will stay with me forever. 

I was shown unwavering support by my friends, family and my employer. 

I would not have recovered without the tireless work that individuals put in to assist my recovery. Those individuals never asked for anything in return.

Mind, a mental health charity, helps people with mental-health conditions to make choices about their treatment, understand their rights and also provide access to many sources of support.

In May of this year, I will walk from London to Bewdley in Worcestershire: two places close to my heart. I will sleep in a tent along the way. I have friends and family who have suffered with mental health issues joining me on various stretches of the trek, which is 126 miles in total. 

I want to give something back after receiving such crucial help when I most needed it.
