The number of people diagnosed with cancer is growing, we're doing whatever it takes to help more people with cancer get the best care the UK has to offer, whoever and wherever they are. To donate, volunteer, raise money or campaign with us, call 0300 1000 200 or visit macmillan.org.uk

Story

You are welome to read the story below that is behind my first 100km escapade and if you wish to donate to a charity after the 25th August 2013 please feel free to visit - www.justgiving.com/michael-freer-tbtc.

It's a seemingly undeniable fact that we all reach a point in our lives where we feel the irresistible drive to do mad things and help others while you are doing it.

Mine is to reach the ever so young age of 50 and to walk soo much further than I ever have done in one go, while raising money for a charity that were massively supportive of my mum while she was preparing herself for her journey to a better place. On top of this the compassionate assistance their incredibly kind and caring nurses gave my dad during the time was truly amazing.

All that is asked of you is a donation, large or small, via the donate button on this page or, if you are in the UK, by sending texting a message to 70070, which contains the code MFLB50 and the amount you want to give £1, £2, £3, £4, £5 or £10.

Everything you give will go to Macmillan Cancer Support that help many people, in many ways, to deal with their lives if cancer calls upon them.  Remember, sadly there's a 1-in-3 chance that it could be you.

Thank you for whatever amount you are able to contribute it will help Macmillan immensely and drive me on during the regular training that I am now conducting to make sure I complete the walk on 25th and 26th May 2013 (the weekend my mum would have celebrated her 76th birthday),  and hopefully not be last over the line.
